frank_horn
Good shots, Harry. I was stationed in Vicenza, back in 1960. About 40 Ks east-south-east. I see they have grafitti there; I wonder if they have street gangs to go along with it! A change from 1960. I got some good shots with a Canon Model P then. paul_neuthaler
All great, Harry. I can't wait to go back: it's our favorite place in Italy.
ronald_moravec1
I usually don`t go for saturated colors, but they work well here. All very nice. Think the night one is my favorite.
jack_lo_..._t_o
Yeah, the night shot is fabulous. Lenses used?
denis_pleic
From my first ever visit to Venice, in February. Took a Leica M2 and a CV21/4 and a small Oly Mju (Stylus Epic). It was foggy :)<div></div>

HarryBaker
Thanks for responses. It is also my favourite city, Paul, and I can get there easily from Stansted airport near Cambridge in a couple of hours. On the other hand, New England where I used to live and which I love takes much longer!! I used a 35mm CV f1.7 lens on most of these shots including the night picture. Denis's shots are excellent.<div></div>
frederick_muller
I really like the color saturation. The truth is, I picked up the taste for color saturation from looking at National Geographic. I think lots of that work was done on Kodachrome 25 precisely because it was fine grained and gave great color saturation.
denis_pleic
Thanks for the compliments, Harry. I have a whole load of photos from Venice. The fog was really magical. The color shots were mostly just snapshots, but I did some "serious" snapping in B&W with my trusty Rolleiflex :)<div></div>
HarryBaker
That's certainly fog! The first time I visited Venice there was a 'hot fog' with temperatures in the 80s F. I now go usually in December! One of my colleagues writes widely on Venice (Deborah Howard). I recommend her books and John Berendt's 'City of Falling Angels' . Here's my last. like Denis's taken by the Arsenale.<div></div>
