canonfduser Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 I recently moved my computer from one room to another and when I set up my scanner to scan a few negatives I get the following messase: ERROR = 5Could not confirm scanner connection. Please verify scanner connection and id #.I'm running an XP machince and haven't changed anything. ronald_moravec1 Posted June 10, 2008 Share Posted June 10, 2008 Run thru the cycle several times of reboot, turn on scanner, launch software, in that order. If that does not clean it up, reinstall software with the scanner unplugged from the computer. Find your original instruction as to exact procedure.
