Minolta F2900 Scan Elite Error message, NEED HELP?

I recently moved my computer from one room to another and when I set up my

scanner to scan a few negatives I get the following messase: ERROR = 5

Could not confirm scanner connection. Please verify scanner connection and id #.

I'm running an XP machince and haven't changed anything. Just moved the desk

and reconnected everything.

Run thru the cycle several times of reboot, turn on scanner, launch software, in that order. If that does not clean it up, reinstall software with the scanner unplugged from the computer. Find your original instruction as to exact procedure.

 

Always start the scanner before launching software.
