middle
Hi all, Following are links to pictures that I believe are shot on the large format. http://bp0.blogger.com/_Ei4KZjWwOr0/Rc-WHMQvVXI/AAAAAAAAAho/hqLcPje1J8c/s1600-h/6.jpeghttp://bp2.blogger.com/_Ei4KZjWwOr0/Rc-VwsQvVSI/AAAAAAAAAhA/d43SwnYSAjU/s1600-h/1.jpeg http://zonezero.com/exposiciones/fotografos/perrin/images/01.htmlhttp://zonezero.com/exposiciones/fotografos/perrin/images/02.html Can anyone explain how one gets those edges in the print? Is it a film specifictechnique? Thank you,m Image credits: Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Perrin
kevin_curry2
Its Polaroid!
erlend sæteren
It looks like these pictures were shot with the Polaroid 55 positive/negative film. The negative is rinsed and taken care off, and the negative has been scanned, or printed and scanned the print.
oistrakh
Yes, Polaroid Type 55. Get it while you can, Polaroid has discontinued it.
jim_norman4
With type 55, showing the edges is popular. It can be contact printed, or the enlarger film carrier enlarged to show areas that are normally cropped out or (in the case of type 55) cut off. ralph_jensen
I think those photos are LF, but more often than not nowadays the "Polaroid edges" are added digitally (in Photoshop). Here, for example, from the Adobe site: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/photoshop/articles/phscs2mrtransfer.html
