frank_a._bridges
I have been using pse 1 with a plug-in for sharpeneing and up-sizing. The plug in has expired and cost about a 100.00 us dollars to re-install . I was very happy with it.My question is simple: Should I buy PSE 6 and forget about the pug-ins since the price is about the same ?
bruce_margolis
There is a night-and-day difference between PSE 1 and 6. I would just get 6.0 and if you still feel you need a sharpener plug-in, buy one. BTW, you can always download the trial version first but it won't take long to see it is a very different program.
jack_landry
Yes, PSE6 is a real improvement over PSE1. You should update and there are sharpening tools too in PSE6. Can I know which sharpening plugin you are taking about?
frank_a._bridges
Jack, i was using the Power Retouch kit which has tools for sharpening, contrast , conversion to B&W. I was happy with it but I can do without it if PSE 6 has a better tool than PSE1. PR costs the same as PSE6 ,I think.
