acmorrill
Just thought I would mention that new 5x7 film holders are available and for sale on the badger graphics web site. Considering these are selling for nearly the same price used I thought I would let everyone know. They are $110.00 for a box of 2 (I'm pretty sure its a box of 2 holders). 5x7 seems to be growing in popularity.
big toys are better
Thrilled to hear that my favorite LF format is growing in popularity. Even my local lab in Maine will do 5x7, even in E-6, although unless you have the film stocks that is a pipe dream, at least for now. Half-frames of 8x10 are more likely.... acmorrill
Actually badger also sells 5x7 provia 100F and velvia 100F. They import it directly from Japan. Its not cheap but it is available.
joe_harrigan
I purchased some fidelity elite 5x7 film holders from Calumet a few weeks ago so they are available. Nice clean brand new film holders. It is amusing what the used ones have been selling for in the recent past.
gene_aker2
Last year I purchased two 5x7 new holders from Badger. They were made in China. I found them too light weight. The end flap was held on by duct tape! But other writers found them ok. Badger was very friendly about a return.
big toys are better
Yup, I just checked again and see that 5x7 Fujichrome is back again. Hope it stays that way for a while. I wish I could get more Astia though.
vinny_walsh
Calumet owns Fidelity and the shop is next door to Calumet here in los angeles. I've always wanted to get a tour of the place.
