JDMvW Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 However, I would guess that when Cuba (or the USA, depending on your standpoint) is "opened up" there will be a precipitous drop in the value of classic 50s and 60s US autos here in the US. American citizens can go to visit Cuba now via Mexico, etc., but when you come back you run a risk of being arrested for "trading with the enemy" (the courts wouldn't let the US actually forbid travel for US citizens) if you are found out. There was a very nice PBS special a while back about Cuban photographers both in Florida and in Cuba itself. Nice work on both sides of the Strait. Just think of the condition (and parts used) to keep a 50+ years old car running in the Cuban salt air. Great car shots, actually the cars look in better condition than some of the buildings.
