shalom_septimus
Herewith, the specification for the 122 film backing paper, posted here in casesomeone years later is googling for it. Total length: 68-1/2" including the "tongue" on each end. Width: 3-11/16". Note that on this one, the straight part of the tongue is only about .1/4" long, and then it spreads out into a triangle. Beginning of the film to the base ofthe triangle is 2" at each end (meaning that the length of the part that'sfull-width is 64-1/2".) There are two sets of frame number markings on this paper, one at the top andone at the bottom. Both sets are spaced the same, but the top set has thenumbers at the top right corner of the frame, and the lower ones have the numberat the bottom left corner of the frame. (as seen from the printed side of thepaper) I can't remember off hand which set my camera uses. Beginning of roll to start of film: 16-1/2". Top set of markings: Beginning of film to arrows: 15-3/4" to 16-1/2" (there are four arrows staggeredfrom bottom to top; the fourth one is right at the start of the film) To frame #1: 23" to frame #2: 28-7/8" to frame #3: 34-3/4" to frame #4: 40-5/8" to frame #5: 46-1/2" to frame #6: 52-3/8" The bottom set of numbers: To arrows: 10-1/4 to 11" To frame #1: 17-5/8" To frame #2: 23-1/2" To frame #3: 29-3/8" To frame #4: 35-1/4" To frame #5: 41-1/8" To frame #6: 47". To end of film: 53-5/8". To end of paper: 68-1/2".
shalom_septimus
Finally figured this out.

First set of numbers shows up behind the red window; the second set is visible in an Autographic camera if you open the door.
shalom_septimus
Plot thickens. It's more complicated than that.

Bottom left numbers (i.e. closer to the winding key) are used in the Seneca Box Scout and the 3A Special Kodak.
Top right numbers (further from the winding key) are used in the Folding Autographic Brownie, which also has the door on the left where the bottom left numbers will show up.
The Graflex 3A also uses the top right numbers, but it winds the other way (winding key on the right), so the actual red window is on the bottom left corner, and the Autographic door is on the right...
Looks like I'm going to need both sets of numbers depending on which of my various 3A cameras I'm using. Drat.
shalom_septimus
Plot thickens even further.

The Seneca Box Scout doesn't even use 122 film, it uses 125. Same image size, wider stock. 122 will fit, but falls into the film gate.
