jay_lang
Hi I have the Gitzo GT3541LS tripod and am considering a lateral arm for it. Will hold a Canon 40D with a Canon 100mm Macro lens and ring flash. Does anyone know what the best lateral arm would be for this? The head is a Kirk BH-1 ball head. There seems to be 3 models from Gitzo but not sure if they all fit the tripod or not? william_tuovinen
The 3541LS is a series 3 tripod, assuming you enjoy the rigidity and weight capacity of the series 3 you should stick with series three accessories and get the G535 lateral arm. The other arms assume lower weight support requirements and are smaller and lighter. They attach by screwing down onto the flat plate the tripod came with. If you have a center column for it you only need too buy the right angle adapter which I can't seem to find at the moment on their website, but I know they do exist I have one at home.
