william_landon
Soniccamera.com is advertising a NEW D300 body only 1 YEAR USA warranty with free shipping for $939.00 ? Sounds like a great deal! Does anyone have experience buying from Sonic Camera ? Are they reputable or are they bottom feeders?

lisa_b4
Always, always, ALWAYS check resellerratings.com...... Not too suprisingly Sonic Camera has a very low rating (http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Sonic_Cameras)
richard_conrad
Check out this post and beware: http://bui4ever.com/blog/2008/04/18/this_is_just_too_funny_not_to_post.php
eric_arnold
the followup post is also worth noting, as it identifies that store as being one of the tentacles of brooklyn scammer george sabato as well as his other sites and their listed phone #s. it's safe to say that any 'deals' from any of these stores are really nothing but headaches. joe_oliva
God bless you for finding this deal! Before I read your post, I was resigned to owning a brand new D200 for $199.00 (I am pretty sure that it included a USA warranty, and a AFS 600mm f/4 VR)

raysgallery
I am going trial tomorrow morning on such a get deal. There is no way (in my onion) that this could not be a scam. I am trying to recover $2100.00 because of such a deal. I bought a Sigma 80X400mm lens for $909.00 and was charged $1900.00. They said "well you wanted Image Stable-a-z-tion didn't you? That 80x400mm Sigma lens is $1900.00". For your information Sigma does not make that lens without IS. The rest of the money was for other things on that order. Go for it, I bet you well wish you hadn't. Oh, by the way it was Express Camera's.com. According to NJ's Attorney General's office, the owner of Camera Express.com, owns about 10 other online stores that do the something.
