arzsk_a
I have D80, it work fine but sometimes it show focal length is not detecting.I'm kinda worried in that case.I'm using Sigma 28-70mm F2.8-4 DG. Please can youtell me why I'm having this problem?
photo5
Any non-Nikon lens is not 100% compatible with Nikon dSLRs because Nikon does not give other companies their data, so Sigma and others have to reverse-engineer the system to make their lenses work. This is why I try to buy Nikon lenses, though my Tokina 12-24mm works all the time.
Matt Laur
It is a little hit-or-miss. You might call Sigma and ask them if they can re-chip your lens to bring it up to date. My Sigma 10-20 seems to tell my D200 the focal length every time, so Sigma DOES know how to make that happen.
alex_lofquist
I would clean the electrical contacts on the lens before sending it to Sigma.
