walterh
Hello - I am thinking about using this lens as a temporary solution on a Nikonbody (to be replaced by the Nikkor AFSVR lens once the update will be available). The new version (marked "macro" of this lens is available in Europe for quitesome time. I try to locate the lens in the US but it is either listed asdiscontinued (old lens but the new is not listed)or advertised as out of stockat 799 US$. K+H does not seem to know about Sigma lenses trying to sell me a used olderversion at 749.00 . Adorama does not respond to my email but changed their listing from available totemp. out of stock. Any suggestion where I could pick up this lens in the Chicago vicinity?I will be there only during the next week. CheersWalter

walterh
Vivek yes indeed. I liked the lens but sold it since I planned to update it by the Nikkor AFSVR. The person who bought it for me said it was lost in the mail and not yet recovered despite the fact that I run after it almost 1/2 year now. So as an interim solution until I get my lost item or until I give up and and buy a new version of the Nikkor comes out I want to use the Sigma again. This is not the original plan^^. But perhaps the best way to go under the circumstances.

szrimaging
Not sure you will see this, or if I am posting too late, but in Chicago, go to Calumet Photo. There is one in downtown Chicago and one out in Oak Brook. Really easy to work with, and probably the most honest people I have dealt with.
