petebarnes
Hi, I'm looking for information about this lens, really concerning how much they areworth, I have looked at this site(http://homepage2.nifty.com/akiyanroom/redbook-e/ultra/um135.html) which isquite useful. I think they are fairly rare industrial lenses from the 60's. Ican't see any on the bay or anything though. Any help would be great
vivek iyer
You can email Akiyama to get some information. These are very rarely sold in the open nowadays, especially after Akiyama's site and its popularity.
dan_fromm2
If you have to ask, you can't afford to buy one. If you have one to sell, offer it up on eBay with the name spelled out in the listing, an opening bid of $0.99 and no reserve. Then wait for the snipers to pounce at the end of the auction. Don't succumb to offers to end the auction early and sell it off eBay.
erling
One of its brothers, the UMN 125mm f/2.8 went unsold on eBay last week. Item number 320223709475.
cham_saranasuriya
The Item 320223709475 on eBay has been there for many many months. He has been trying to sell it for a while. Obviously it is way over priced!!! I am actually looking for a 55mm UMN myself. The value IMHO is mainly collectibility rather than any actual use in practical day to day photography. I agree with listing on eBay. It will get the value for it or more if you are lucky if there are any crazy people with too much cash.
akira
Several month ago, I saw an ad of a camera shop for a UMN 28/1.8 on a Japanese photography magazine. The offered price was 100,000 yen.
petebarnes
Thanks Dan, Luckily enough I don't have to buy one, I think I'll leave it off ebay for a while as it seems to be generating quite a lot of interest, thanks for the replies folks
