CLA in California

I have inherited an M3 in good technical and cosmetic condition. As it has not

been used for quite some time, I plan to give it a proper CLA before

recommissioning. Any suggestions as to who could do it in California? I live in

the San Francisco Bay Area.

Steven Choi in Culver City. I worked with him, he is very experienced & has all the latest bench equipment. Just make sure that you specifically request that HE work on the M3.

Camera West in Monterey would certainly have a recommendation. You MUST see the Leica

room there!

if you're willing to send a cam 200-400 miles, why not 2000-3000 dag or sherry) and get it done right?

I've used ICT Camera and can say that Fred does an excellent job. He's CLA'd a M3 & M4 for me and was very happy with the results. Usually 2-3 weeks but will work with you if you need it fast.

On both the M3 and M4, he did a complete strip down and the cameras were better than new mechanically, if thats possible. Seemed like it anyway.

Sherry Krauter would be my choice if you are willing to send it out of the area. Faster than DAG and a kick to talk to. She prefers a phone call rather than email and had my M5 back in the same 2-3 week period.
