marco_hidalgo
Hi I can't tether a 5D to a MacBook Pro using the new Leopard system X + EOS Utility 2.3.0 The 20D works fine, but the 5D brings up a window that says " Error, camera is busy and cannot communicate. Clear if camera's LCD monitor is displayed" Does anyone knows how to overcome this problem? Cheers, Marco
m_barbu1
In the Setup Section (Yellow menu), what do you have set for Communication? Have you tried picking the other option?
marco_hidalgo
Hi M Barbu. I have PC Connection selected, it is the one that should be used. The other one is Print/PTP. And yes, I have tried it as well. the 20D has these two options: Connection = Normal and Print/PTP.

m_barbu1
Sorry I couldn't be more help. Let us know if you find a solution. I've been contemplating upgrading, but this would be a reason to wait (Leopard).
PuppyDigs
I just tried EOS Utility 2.3.0 on my 2007 MacBook Pro both my 40D and 5D worked fine tethered. However I'm running OS 10.4.11, not OS 10.5x. I normally wait a year or so after a major OS upgrade so all my music apps and photo drivers can catch up. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
marco_hidalgo
Yeah, I might go back to system 10.4 , I just jumped to Leopard as soon as I got the upgrade CD.
ivan_gonzalez
Touch the play button on your camera as if you were trying to review the pictures, it does not matter if you have any pictures or no. Start eos utility, press on the remote shooting option, once you get the error message press halfway the shutter button. you should be all set now. Just read a leopard compatible release will be available May 2008
