pvp
What white lines? I've never seen such an effect, nor have I ever heard any such advice (sanding the holder.) I'm not suggesting that you don't have an issue, but I don't understand what it is.
jim_graves1
I've heard of sanding or roughing up the edges of the negative carrier to get rid of the straight edge appearance of the print borders ... sort of gives the print a rustic or unfinished look ... is that what you're talking about? brucecahn
You don't have to sand the holders. Could the lines you are talking about be overdevelopment at the edges? If so agitate much less.
maris_rusis
The white lines could be the edges of the film that remain unexposed behind the rebates of the film holder. The rebates are what keep the film from falling into the bellows of the camera when you pull the slide.
