iczek
Hi, I'd like to ask you for some help with my Rollei 6008i... I usually do A program but today I switch to manual and I got some very strange info in my viewfinder... When time is set to 1/1000 the 500 number blinking in finder...!? When I switch to other time (longer than 1/1000), so I get correct aperture value reading from lens but time is set permanently to 30''.... Time B and T work ok. What is more, setting 1/1000 value and pressing memo button - the deep of field preview is activated...! What is wrong? I've not used manual mode for a long time but i do not think that it could cause such a problem....! Could you help me?
iczek
After posting, I discovered one more strange thing... When I put the fresh battery pack into camera and the time ring is set to any time (1/1000, 1/500, 1/125 ... etc) the camera shows error: "Charge". But when I switch to A mode, the camera works ok. Battery full. Switching to manual >> again the problem like in previous post above.

antonio_garcia_russell
Hi, The circuit boards can be an issue on the 600X series Rolleis - they are located under the speed selector dial/handle grip mount and are known to be very fragile. OCULUS New York
Glad you got straightened out...the above from Antonio--while probably well-meaning--is not expressed from experience. Now, go have fun. Ray Hull
vanja
Hi! As Eric pointed, the later article has a short PDF manual on how to do the repairs. Be careful! If you're lucky, maybe even applying a generous amount of contact spray without taking the camera apart will solve the issue. Be sure to remove the battery and leave the camera to dry for a couple of hours at least before trying it out. And if you need any assistance, feel free to write... antonio_garcia_russell
Oculus, To the contrary, my experience and that of others on the Rollei list is of 600x series circuit boards breaking on us. In my case I had both a 6003 and a 6008 suffer from this issue.
