Kowa super 66.

Medium format Kowas are like hen's teeth these days. It's unlikely you'll find anyone with either the spares or the expertise to repair them.

Teamwork (www.teamworkphoto.com) used to specialise in medium format cameras of all sorts. You may find someone there who still knows something about Kowas, or can point you in the direction of someone.

However, I'd really suggest you stop swimming against the tide and let go of it. I stopped using my Kowa sixes over 10 years ago because of reliability issues. I changed to the Mamiya 645 system and haven't looked back.

Jon, the Super 66 is a great and reliable camera. Just to be sure, the procedure is: 1. Cock the camera; 2. Tilting the back so the top is closest to the camera, place the top in position; 3. Holding the top in place, rotate the bottom of the back forward so that the bottom goes into position and locks. Now, at what point is it not working?

I like the Kowa lenses and will continue shooting with it. I messed up when I took of the

polaroid back without cocking the shutter. The camera and lens fires without any

problems when I dont have a back on it. The back doesn't seem to come on properly in

the bottom end Ross Yerkes did a CLA on the camera after I got it and I have shot 10-15

rolls with it so I doubt though it is an old camera that it would need another CLA. I just

need someone that knows their ways around Kowas(teamwork had newer heard of the

brand).

Thanks

Jon
