rob_strong1
Created with an amalgam of SlideShow Pro, rudimentary Flash skills, and leftoverspaghetti:

http://robstrongphotos.com

Believe it or not, I was prepared to pay five hundred bucks for something likethis, but the designer wanted 2k-3k. Glad I figured out how to do it myselfinstead.

Rob
keith_clementson
Looks like you pulled it off just fine. I see that you too are a product of UT Austin P.J. I was there way back before horseless carriages. The site and photos are well-done.
j_rakieski
very nice. very clean site. cool work. My tech buddy always warned me about using flash on my site because new portable devices can't support them. anyhow, good job.
rob_strong1
Mobile devices? Pish-posh! I won't have people scaling down my 4x5 inch negatives to fit on their damn Nokias and Blackberries. It was a sad enough sight just to see them reduced to standard browser size. Keith-- no matter how long ago, you must have had JB Colson. He's still there, and his History and Criticism class was one of the best! Thanks for the feedback. -Rob
acjtucson
I like the site. Very simple and spare and clean. Sort of like your images. They are fantastic.
keith_clementson
Yeah Rob, I couldn't remember his name. I had Colson. At the time he was renowned for his photos of Mexican peasant life, if I remember correctly (I don't remember much of the '70's ;D). The lab there was phenomenal. rob_strong1
Thanks all! Brian: I'm spoiled by never having lived in the days of abundant and various film stocks; I'm quite happy with my Kodak Portra 160VC in quickload, since I know nothing else.
