larios
Back in November 2007, I went to Venice on a business trip (I was a speaker at a Conference).
Needless to say I fell in love with Venice (and Burano island). That's why I tried to depict it the way I thought it really is....
Although Venice has been photographed billions of times, I set out to provide my own views (but I am an enthusiast hobbyist photographer, not a pro or anything)

You are kindly invited to check my Venice photo gallery at http://www.larios.gr/gallery_115918.html

However, I wanted to make the experience even closer to what it really was...
That's why I also prepared a *VERY* relaxing 5-min photo slideshow with music, with my Venice photos.

I provide it here for your enjoyment! Download it at: http://www.larios.gr/section116382.html

Enjoy it! :-)

Comments at my website's guestbook are always welcome. Click here for your own thoughts!

Matt Laur
Yannis: It IS a beautiful place, isn't it? I was also in the Veneto area November, including a day in Venice, and enjoyed uncharacteristically nice weather. I do believe we took some of the exact same, shamelessly touristy shots! There are a few here in one of my galleries. I can almost feel my shoulders bumping into yours. Nice images! jeffpolaski
We lived in Vicenza many years ago and it was a short drive to Venezia at 4 a.m. in the off-season. We parked in front of the train station (yes, it was that long ago) and walked to Piazza San Marco. My own memories and photos of Venezia are shrouded by fog, when buildings loomed into visibility as we approached them. Your photos are wonderful (as evidently was the weather). If you go back, and you should, don't let bad weather deter you. Venezia is beautiful in any light.
