larissa_rodriguez
I have a Nikon SB600 flash and when mounted on the camera it gives a repetitive flash that it has not done before. It's like a strobing. Any ideas how to stop this? Thanks!

larissa_rodriguez
The flash has gone bananas :) Now it's lagging behind when I take the picture... I click, take a pic and THEN the flash goes off... Is there a delay I can control or something? Thanks! New photographer!
craig_gillette
Doing a reset, pushing the zoom and mode buttons simultaneously should set it to default settings. Other problems could come from camera settings. What camera is it on?
ccddcc
it has been known for the SB-800 and SB-600 to have bad connections causing it to flash erratically. This has happened to me but the the problem magically went away so I can not offer a fix, I do know some people have had to send it in to nikon to be fixed. Mark Salo
Sometimes the flash is not fully inserted into the flash shoe. Don't know if that might be the problem.
jeff_adukinas
Make sure that when you took the camera out of red eye reduction mode, you did not put it into a slow sync or rear curtain mode. You should only be seeing a flash (lightning bolt image) on the camera command LCD.
