colin carron
The oldest 47/8 and the older 47/5.6 Super Angulons cover 6x9 (cm) as indicated above. The current 47/5.6 Super Angulon XL covers 4x5 (inches)
thidglance
The 47mm covers 6x12 - JUST ! There really are NO movements possible.
paul.droluk
The only 47SA badged with "MC" was the f5.6 version (pre-XL). Schneider specifies the coverage for this lens @ f22 to be 123mm, which is 2mm shy for 6x12 (56x112). I would have no problem using it on 6x12.... worse comes to worse, you could crop away the offending 2mm (1mm from each corner), and wind up with 54x110 image area. That being said, I don't think anybody would ever notice if the very, very corners of the image were not "acceptably" sharp.
michael_briggs2
As Bob indicates, Schneider has information about their older lenses. The path may not be obvious. From http://www.schneideroptics.com/, "Info", "Vintage Lens Data". Look under both Small and Large format.
steve_hostetter
You need a Center grad filter w/ the 47mm 5.6 XL to cover 4x5" without all the light fall-off... Also you will need a recessed lens board.. Steve
