GerrySiegel
My neighbor gave me his original Minolta SRT 102 with its 58mm MC Rokkor PG 1.2lens. It is so extraordinarily new looking and almost unused I decided I want tokeep this for its unusual all metal character, and want to run a roll of filmmaybe. When testing it, I managed to lock the wind lever and the rewind buttonis now locked in the up position. Also, the meter worked when he handed it overand now it too does not move the needle. So, I am going to send it off to have it refurbished (including cleaning andlube-there is some fuzz or perhaps the remains of light seal meaterial loose inthe finder. I live on Oahu so any place in continental USA would be suitable.Only one I can think of is KEH,but seeking a few other choices I can e mail foran idea of cost etc.... This camera is a wee bit 'younger' than the 1970 date and I am assuming about 1972. Where, in any location, have you personally had good luck with competent work ona Minolta of this vintage? Gosh it is a heavy lens! Thanks in advance. Speed in repair is not a factor, but reliability via personalexperience is what I seek....Thanks and mahalo in advance. ( I shoot Olympus these days and send gear as faras New York) Little shipping difference....gs
Matthew Currie
There are two places I know of in Vermont that could likely do the work, and should be able to give you a price quote via email. I have dealt for years with Vermont Camera Works, and bought from LeZot, and both have a good reputation. I've never had them do a Minolta, but VCW has worked on other cameras of mine both old and (relatively) new, and they fixed them and stuck to the estimate. LeZot had a special on CLA last year, but I don't see it now on their site. Still, might be worth finding out. http://www.vermontcamera.com http;//www.lezotcamera.com

david_m
Somewhere on the web is a Minolta specialist. I'm sure you can find them via Google.
george_shihanian
I too, use Essex Camera for everything. They are honest and have relatively fast turnaround times.

rover
I have used a lot of those mentioned above and have been happy, but the best repair experience I have was with John Titterington who serviced my SRT 101 and 201 after I rescued them from a 20 banishment to a closet. John specializes in repairing 1970s era manual cameras and also sells refurbished equipment on ebay. http://www.geocities.com/~titterington/camera-repair/ 100% ebay feedback with over 4000 comments speaks volumes. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ50QQsassZtitterington You can also find feedback for him here on Photo.net. http://www.photo.net/neighbor/view-one-about?id=1&about=Titterington%2c+john+at+JTCamera%40aol%2ecom
