About Leica UV filter

I have a problem with my Leica UV filter. The coating of the filter is

disappearing! I brought 2 and both of them happen the same!

DO any brother have this similar problem?

It sometimes happens when they are exposed to UV.

 

Sorry, bad joke. No, I've got a number of Leica and B&W UV filters but never had this problem.

 

You'd better go back to the shop and complain for this shouldn't happen.

I found this occurs with alot of Leica branded series 5.5 filters. Given that the same thing occurs with Tiffen Series 5.5 filters and both are made in the USA Im fairly certain that Tiffen made Leicas Series 5.5 filters. I have also seen B+W label on a Leica filter as well. Its fair to assume that if they are contracting out filter manufacturing to other companies the quality could be all over the place.

I see. But do this similar problem occur in other bands (excluding Leica and B+W)?

I also believe that it miight be occur be photo-chemical recation. I think I'd better to get another UV filter but not Leica.
