soeren_engelbrecht1
OK, so I came up with a joke - Here goes: Q: Why did the Leica collector count the number of individual corn flakes when he bought a packet of Kellogg's ?? A: He wanted to know the cereal number... Please don't take this personally, anyone :-) Cheers, Soeren (Who, myself, have accumulated way to much camera stuff over the years to claim "not gulity" of the above phenomenon :-)

alex_lofquist
The rationale behind that form of humor seems a bit flakey!

asher
What version flakes were they?
The classic version II (pre-fiber) have the BEST crunch.
lutz
While you seem to be making fun of the Kellog's collector, rather, I'm very fond of puns. And yours I hadn't heard before! :-)

adrian bastin
Dear Leica and Rangefinder Forum My Summicron lens has had a sudden loss of mystique. Can this be repaired by Sherry at 'Golden Touch' or is it an inherent weakness of early production lenses (radio-active decay, for instance) Thank you. It's serial number is 103***
adrian bastin
Sorry, that should be 103****, of course.
aplumpton
1925 Kellogg's boxes (unopened, of course, and kept in safety deposit boxes, are apparently now selling at three times the value of similar mint condition, unused, Branacks), so we shouldn't knock the collector value of the K giant, serial number or not. adrian bastin
Arthur, all the more reason, that's the point. We are making fun of our own hidden collector. Better to earn a fiver with a good photograph than five hundred by keeping the camera on the shelf, unused.
icuneko
At least this collector is not a cereal killer. Probably from Cornwall too. And a real milquetoast at that. So quit Hektoring him!
