What to blog

Hi all

 

Like most of you i started out with good intentions about my blog. I promised

i would blog regularly.....and like most i suspect my good intentions went out

the window.

 

Seeing as i am not yet that busy (i am just starting out in this industry), i

dont always have wedding related content to add, but i also think its

important to keep your blog up to date, what do you think about occasionally

adding non wedding related stuf to your blog.

Is it a no no, or does it give people an insight into you and your personality?

A blog can be most anything. It's another way of communicating with each other and it

seems to be in vogue right now.

 

The page is blank, the skys the limit, it represents you and the contents can be most

anything. If it is to enhance your business you may want to shape your blog as a tool with

that in mind.

The main purpose of your blog should be to let people know YOU and your personality. Most people post only the latest weddings etc, which is fine but add other stuff so people get to know you, stuff about your life. They can see your work on your site, the blog is to learn about you. If they think they will like you they will meet you and you can close the deal.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with adding something semi-personal on your blog.

Blog about whatever you want! My blog is the centerpiece of my marketing. I post about everything from our most recent wedding to home improvements. About 1/4 of our customers report finding/choosing my company from the blog. www.sledd.blogspot.com
