Poravich
Dear friends, Now I have a call from my wife, now being on tour at Dubai. I have only 1/2 hour to make this decision. She offers me an M6ttl blk boxed mint. But I perfer a classic one. However I'm afraid that a mint M6 classic may hard to find. In sum, would I go with ttl or classic M6in a long term posession. Thanks all, Poravich
vic_.
For M film cameras, the film speed dial on the M6TTL and M7 is larger than on other M cameras and goes one way (the speeds go faster in a clockwise direction), whereas on all the other cameras (M2, M3, M4, MP, etc.) they go the other way (the speeds go faster in an anti-clockwise direction). So if I had to make a quick decision, it would be based upon what other cameras I possess. I hope this helps! As far as long term functionality, you can't go wrong with either. From what you write, I guess it is also an emotional decision.
vic_.
That should be (M2, M3, M4, M6, MP, etc.)...
Poravich
Vic, Yes, it is tolly emotional decision. Now I have M3, M4-p (Mt Everest). I used to have M6 ttl chrome but lost it. I don't care the ttl falsh. Even the meter in M6 does not mean anything to me. Thanks a lot Poravich

ewanc
Hello, Looks like you just answered your own question... "I don't care the ttl falsh (sic)". The M6 classic does not seem to be hard to find, in the US at least. There are a few on sale here: http://www.classicconnection.com/Cameras,51,Products.asp DISCLAIMER: I do not work for the outfit above and I am not recommending that you buy (or not buy) from him. mark f
I had to make the same decision and went for the TTL. The only reason is that the shutter speed dial is easier to access without taking my eye away from the viewfinder. It is closer to the front edge of the camera so I can adjust it easily. Alex_Es
Mint M6 TTL. Good camera. A mint classic M6 would nice too but it's not forthcoming.
paul_neuthaler
The best M6 is an M4
farce
If the price is good, ask her to get it. then later if you don't like it or prefer the classic you can sell this and get the classic without losing too much money -Francis
