Lens for landscapes

Hello all,

 

I am searching for lens for wide angle photographs of landscapes. I have already

read about the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, Sigma 12-24, and Tokina AF

12-24mm f/4 AT-X Pro DX but I am confused on what to buy.

 

Can anyone help me.

I want a lens with no Chromatic aberration to fit my canon 30d. I would like to know which of these lenses will provide the best image quality.

The first question is how much do you want to spend. There is such a wide price range for lenses. Myself I use a EF16-35mm f/2.8L II USM & a EF24-105mm f4L IS USM lenses for landscape pictures which are both great. In any case since you are using a canon camera I would try to stay with the canon lenses. I know it can be a hard choice for everyone has their favorites. Best regards

You will always get some CA with ultra-wide lenses. Howver it will not be visible under most conditions. I have owned both the Canon 10-22 and the Sigma 12-24. The are both very good lenses though I preferred the Canon 10-22 for its smaller size and weight.
