jim_reed1
Has anyone heard of Richard Kauffman, color lanscape photographer in the early 1960's? He produced a number of Carbo prints of subjects in the Yosemite and Sierra high country. I'm wanting to know the value of a number of his signed prints. Thanks for ANY help. paul_shekelle
I just came across this email thread. i've been fascinated by the picture of Center Basin that adorns the cover of the Sierra Club book "Gentle Wilderness", and have lookd in vain for it for years (other than as the lithograph that comes with the sierra club series of lithos from this book). If Richard R Kauffman reads this, please contact me at pshekelle@ca.rr.com if there are any prints of Center Basin for possible sale. -paul shekelle
gregoriogallery
I too have recently acquired a set of 11 Richard Kauffman Lithographs. they came in a box labeled "Gentle Wilderness" that originally contained 15 prints. The prints at first appeared to be signed in pencil, but on closer inspection the titling and signature seem to be part of the lithograph.
