gman
Good job! I have to admit that I love looking at pictures taken by old cameras and lenses.
doug_nelson3
I like the way overcast light makes colors pop. Your shots make me want to try a 20mm.
dennis_kushner2
For some reason, first few times I scrolled down, the pix didn't appear. Overcast days the best for color saturation. I was more interested in the Tamron. I still have a 35-70/3.5 BBAR CF Macro that I purchases over 20+ years ago to use in the rain & snow & was impressed how close it was to FD lenses in color warmness. Is your Tamron the SP version? Like the Viv S1's, older BBAR Tamrons could be considered cult lenses. I was about to sell mine but last week located a Tamron/ EOS adapter for my A2 body. At least adapters can extend the useful life of great manual lenses.
User_502260
I have an EF (2nd version) and I also have that same Tamron lens. It isn't one of the SP models but I find it quite good. The later 28-70 Adaptall II lens is smaller but doesn't feel as sturdy. My only electronic Canon SLR body is an A-1 but I don't know whether I'd take it out on a wet day. I have 13 other FD and FL bodies to choose from. For Canon I don't have a 20. I have a 19/3.8 Vivitar and a 21/3.8 Vivitar T4. Sometimes I will use a 20/3.8 Vivitar in M42 mount with an adapter. My widest Canon lens is a 24mm f/2.8 FD SSC with a chrome front. If I need a faster lens in the 20-21 range I have a 21/2.8 Konica Hexanon but I can't use that on a Canon body. The photos are very nice.
