an_casey
first image post here :)i think the faces need a tad noise ninja makeover but other than that i like this one of the group what do you think?thx in advance! http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s122/ankc/shoulderswithmazie.jpg
lfoley
Well, the tilt is making me dizzy. And you've got some exposure issues. Parts of the background are blown out while you've lost detail in some of the shadows. The pose is sweet though you can't really see the kids' faces. The dog looking back is great! an_casey
yes there was not a ton i could do abt the sun it was 11 am! II guess the top L corner dosent bother me horribly....I am hoping to sharpen it up becasue i do really like the whole feel of the pic? Do you think it is workable? emre
The moment is nice, but the light is attrocious. In situations like this I try to blur the background as much as possible. Not only does it make it less busy, it softens the highlights so they are not blown out. Try it next time.
an_casey
i am going to try to post the orig and maybe you guys can tell me if it is fixable?
emre
I believe that almost anything is fixable. The only question is whether it is worth the time. I think the quickest way to improve this shot is to apply vignetting to subdue background and the shadow/highlight tool to reduce the contrast. an_casey
thank you . I think this one might be worth the time?
giggles
An - I would post questions/images such as this in the critique forum. You will get more responses if you ask specific questions. This area is more for general questions and not image critiques.
jennifer_sparaco1
An..I am a beginner so I won't even try to crit your work technically. As a consumer if this were my family I would LOVE the shot. You may be able to make it better, but I love the altered shot you first posted. I like the lighting...it may not be technically correct...but I think it is wonderful. For what it is worth! Jennifer
