chuck_sackman
When I use merge layers, all of the my visible layers merge but they all collapse and disappear from the layers palette as if your using flatten. In viewing videos from Lydia .com and Radiant Vista, when they merge layers, a new layer appears at the top of the layers palette that says "Merged" with the older layers still visible and you are still able to work on them. What am I doing wrong? I'm using CS3, Mac g5, 16 bit ThanksChuck
jim craig
It is called Stamp Visable, Chuck. There is an undocumented keyboard shortcut (Cmd-Option-Shift-E) on a Mac, I believe, I'm on a PC. If you Google "stamp visible photoshop" you'll come up with pages documenting this. mpd
I had the same problem. After reading your post, I checked the help file under Merge. It talks about stamping and the shortcut above. It also gives an alternative. Hold down the Alt key and choose Merge Visible from the Layers menu. I will have to watch this week's radiantvista workbench more closely. I don't recall having to go to the Layers menu.
