luke_randall
I made a mistake about lense- To Andrew Robinson's remark- I am wrong about this lense. The carrying case said cannon 100mm f:3.5 and inside was a 100mm f 4,5 lense that said "Enna werk Munchen U.S. zone Germany . I failed to notice the argus Tele Sandmar label because all I saw was !00mm made in Germany. I then went to the canon website and thought I had Identified a lense similar to this one and got excited. Much to my dissappointment it does not fit on the screw on Leica someone gave me yesterday. The lense is smaller in diameter. The responses were helpful even though the situation was not as described.
james mitchell dc
What's the real question? Can you be clearer about what you received and what you expected? Canon is a popular Japanese lens brand. If you received one spelled wrong you have a bad or unique lens.
luis triguez
It could be for a cine camera
dan_fromm2
Luis, odds are that the Tele-Sandmar was made for an Argus RF. Luke, lenses that Canon didn't make will fit in a case that Canon made. Your Tele-Sandmar was made by Enna. Another instance of, um, the lack of relationship between a book's cover and its contents. marc_bergman1
Does the lens look like this?
tele-sandmar
It looks like it fits an Argus RF like Dan suggested. The picture shows it on an Argus C3.
billsr
There is much difference between a Canon and a "cannon"! One is a Japanese optic and the other is an artillery piece.
luke_randall
Yes, It is just like that Tele Sandmar on argus camera. That looks like a nice camera.
