breadbin
Hi, I own an Olympus 8080 and I want to get something a little more pocketable. I really like the 8080 on specific photo opportunites but feel I leave it at home or in the car due to its size more often than not. The Canon G7 looks interesting, probably as big as I'd go. I'm lookijg for a fast auto focus especially indoors. I know the 8080 is really slow indoors anyway but not sure of the G7. Is it fast enough to snap kids and pets indoors and out? breadbin
edit: I have been looking at a Lumix TZ3/TZ2 but have heard it is not great in low light. Thanks again
davek57
Almost any current Canon A or SD series or Kodak Z-series camera will give you adequate AF speeds. The fastest AF on a compact point-and-shoot that I ever found was a Kodak DX7630, which had a hybrid AF system that made for very fast focusing. Discontinued, but should be available used. Good luck. -Dave
