Fast AF on a pocket camera?

Hi, I own an Olympus 8080 and I want to get something a little more pocketable.

I really like the 8080 on specific photo opportunites but feel I leave it at

home or in the car due to its size more often than not. The Canon G7 looks

interesting, probably as big as I'd go. I'm lookijg for a fast auto focus

especially indoors. I know the 8080 is really slow indoors anyway but not sure

of the G7. Is it fast enough to snap kids and pets indoors and out? Thanks

Almost any current Canon A or SD series or Kodak Z-series camera will give you adequate AF speeds. The fastest AF on a compact point-and-shoot that I ever found was a Kodak DX7630, which had a hybrid AF system that made for very fast focusing. Discontinued, but should be available used. Good luck.
