bo_landy1
I am looking for recommendations for remote capture software that can be used with a Canon 30D. I run Windows now and will be running Mac as well very soon. I do not care for Canon's RemoteCapture due to the fact that the image is not displayed large or full screen after capture. I also have an issue where the Canon software will make the camera blink "busy" until it is restarted several times. I have been using a demo version of DSLR Remote Pro by Breeze Systems which I have been very happy with and am considering buying. My only 2 hesitations are that it is not available for Mac, so I will still need separate software for my forthcoming Mac and it is $100 which would be fine if I only had to buy it for one computer, but seems a bit pricey for it's very limited utility (since Canon's free software does almost everything the same - except work right :-) ). It is a great program though as it works every time and allows you to adjust camera settings from your PC (just like the Canon software). Thanks in advance for any input on this! zackojones
Bo, Take a look at DSLR Remote (I think that is what is it called) from Breeze Sys (www.breezesys.com) and see if you like it better than Canon's program.
bo_landy1
Hi Zack, As I mentioned in my original post, that id the software that I use now. "I have been using a demo version of DSLR Remote Pro by Breeze Systems..." The main issue is that, as far as I know, it is PC only. I am looking for a Mac solution. Thanks for trying though. samuel_bortnick1
Maybe try running MS Virtual PC on your mac, thus eliminating the need for a Mac compatable remote capture software. Check out this link: http://www.microsoft.com/australia/office/mac/virtualpc7/default.aspx Hope that helps!
