hector_evans
I am thinking of buying the Samsung SyncMaster 206BW monitor. Is this a good monitor for using with Photoshop? I would appreciate your advice, especially if you already own one. So far I have been using a CRT, and I have no experience with LCDs. thanks
pierre_levasseur
I use the 205BW for my photo and video work and it is good monitor, good waranty, low cost, easy to calibrate and the gammut and contrast of it is quite impressive. You can do a comparision on monitor in "Reponse photo", they did a big survey on that subject but it is a french magazine...
godfrey
I normally use an Apple Cinema Display 23" but when my power supply died last fall (due to the extreme heat we had last summer, I believe) there was a wait before a new power supply was available. I borrowed a Samsung SyncMaster 205bw to use in the interim. It's not as pretty an enclosure as the Apple CD23 and the in-monitor controls are a little more funky to operate, but once calibrated to the same specs it does a terrific job. I was very satisfied with the image quality and performance. At under $320 then, I've recommended it to several people, who have purchased them and found them good in use.
