fc.moreira
Hi Everyone! I have a very entry level Epson C88+ with only the four basic cmyk inks and would like to have some hints on how to print in B&W without or with minimum color cast. Tks for your help. Fernando. Don't worry about all the excessively technical posts about other printers, just ask your question and somebody will help...don't be embarased to ask the simplest, most stupid questions. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint/
des adams
Fernando that's good advice you've been given. I had a similar four ink Epson. No matter what I found using all four colors I could never get a cast free black and white print. So I used black only printing. I've found Clayton Jones site extremely helpful in terms of this and other printing issues. He's at Black And White Digital Printing. Eventually I got a set of inks from MIS Ink Supply.com They worked well.

kuzem
Do you know how to enable black only printing on the C88+ from OS X? In Print setting "Color:Black" seems to enable the black only mode because I cannot all options are grayed out in color management. However, the resulting print has a blue color cast and I can tell that all four inks are being used when the print is under way. Is there anything I can do to use Black only printing?
