hp G4050 vs epson 4990 or epson 4490

this scanner looks like, hp's top of the line product. however, it is in the

same price range as epson 4490.

 

does anybody has any experience on this? (esp medium format, and 35mm scanning)

Hi Burak. I have a G4050. It costs about U$ 150,00 with discounts. It makes sharp and very good medium format copies. 35mm is a bit soft though very acceptable. The machine is a bit slow if scanning time isn't a very important factor for you. But I think the price and the quality, compensates for the excess of time during scanning. Good luck!
