steve george
How is everyone getting on with the somewhat challenging situation at the moment? In some ways it's similar to a winter wedding, so no problems photographically speaking, but when a couple has geared their entire event and activities towards being outside (and their choice of venue has hinged on the gardens for example) it's a bit more tricky isn't it? (As opposed to a winter wedding where indoor space and indoor decorations can be a priority in a decision...) I've been lucky in that the past couple of weekends I've had a window of about an hour between rain to get some shots outside and I'm hoping that at the very least that continues for the sake of the newly-weds as much as anything else. No real question in this post - just an opportunity for providing mutual support all round :-)
mark_saunders
Steve, I haven't had the chance to assist recently but yeah, it does kind of limit your shooting opportunities. Roll on sunshine! regards, Mark (London)

kevin cook - stratford upo
I've been lucky until last Saturday when it rained heavy and then slight. I bought 6 umbrellas from Poundland for 1 GBP each and made the most of it. The bride came in an open topped horsedrawn carriage which did nobody any favours. The Church was very old, limited lighting and no internal space save the altar but the choir had grabbed that! The reception was held in the sports hall which already had 25 tables laid up and all space taken. Nightmare especially as the Bride kept asking for formals! I got soaked, the cameras too but they survived! We managed though! Next week Wimbledown ends so the weather should pick up!

long_zoom
well i were worried abbout weather for weeks and were plesantly suprised when i woke on sunday no rain and there was sunshine. a rare thing any time in the north east of england.i has planned to take all shots indoors as the venue was an indoor marque set up permantly in a sports hall. luckly i did manage outdoor shots some at the house before the ceremony very lucky the only house in the road without a flooded garden. i did find that theirs was still wet when i were knealing. after the ceromony i managed to take the bride and groom to a park verry near the venue and managed to photograpy them and only just before the heavens opend.well back to plan a all group shots indoors. at the moment any shots out doors are a big bonus. and due to the neture of the venue were lucky this was large enough and verry light.
