glen_stork
I picked up a spare normon 808 on ebay. After talking to the seller it is clear that the units were used by Life Touch School Photography and they (for some reson) disabled the 3rd light output. Does anyone know why and how can I return this unit to full functionality. If I had scamatics I could do it. Or if anyone knows what was disconected it would be of great help. brandon.r.foster
It is possible that they did not disable it, and the unit is slightly damaged? Perhaps there is a fuse that could be changed? Just thoughts, I looked but could not find any information on the subject...
jennifer_grigg
There are several Norman 808s listed on ebay with the same description/ photo. They don't even match the age of the power pack. All of them have no power light indicated on #3. Apparently Lifetouch only needs 3 lights.
mark_triplett
C&J Photo Partner, LLC John Pham (Mgr/owner) (651) 329-7855 cjphoto@msn.com He actually designed the unit back in the 90' for Norman. He's the guy to contact. He's in Minnesota. -Mark, Studio 3 Portraits
matt_saunchegrow
Lifetouch only used a backlight, main light and fill light. They didn't used a hair light, so it is possible that they disabled the #3 output. That seems like alot of work when they could just have easily turned the #3 output switch to the off position. felipe_gamboa
Ok some norman 808 are programed with jumpers in the inside of the unit and can set to normal operation by just knowing the combination so in order to turn on that connector you need to know the location and how to program it to turn that connector "on".
OK on the bottom there is a lable with a program version I need it so I can help you if there is no lable at least a serial number.
