laura_villasenor
how can you change the aperture setting with a N90s and Nikkor af-svr 70-200 f/2.8G if-ed
arnabdas
The N90s is not 100% compatible with a G lens. The only way to change aperture (in a roundabout way) is to put the camera in P mode and rotate the command dial to enter flexible program (P*). Aperture set this way gets reset as soon as the meter turns off. If you have Photo Secretary and the data cable, you can program the N90s to have meter-on duration as much as 30 seconds which may help a bit. work-page
G-type lenses can only be used in P-mode and S-mode on the N90s. To get a specific aperture, you could use program-shift in P-mode (turn the command wheel until the aperture/shutter combination that you need shows), or select a shutter speed that gives the desired aperture in S-mode. erik_loza
I would use S mode to get to the aperture I wanted. Only issue, which I'm sure you already know, is that you must compose carefully, as the aperture could change during shooting while you aren't paying attention to it.
