peter_gilbert3
Anyone know where or if one exists? Not on HP.com anywhere. Thanks Peter
robert_martin5
You should use the soft gloss profile for this paper. HP profile names do not align with their paper names. They need to do some work to solve this type problem.
peter_gilbert3
Robert: Thanks. I'll try a packet and see if it's better than Red River Ultra Pro Satin V2. At 2x the price it should be. Peter
philippartridge
Let me help on this one: the new HP printers use software that distinguishes between 'paper type' and 'ICC profile'. The paper type is less consequential, the paper/ink profile far more critical to your output. I suggest you join the Yahoo group for this printer - it has many helpful members who have provided free custom profiles made with pro software, like Gretag Macbeth's products. Because of the colour calibration feature of the B9180, profiles made on one calibrated B9180 work great on *any other* B9180. I use many of these profiles personally and am very impressed with their accuracy. The profiles are provided with the paper type used by the maker of each profile...hope this helps.
