j.v._mclure
What would be a ball park guess as to the price to do a CLA on a Yashica TLR? I have about seven of them that need it. Where would be the best place to send them? Thanks J V McLure
tim_drake
For Yashica TLR CLA contact Dean Williams at deanw@bmi.net He's your first and best choice. Regards, TD
dave_redmann
About three years ago I got a CLA and some minor repairs for my Yashica Mat EM. Cost $90. I was quite satisfied with the results. Contact info: Mr. Mark Hama, Mark Hama Ltd., 2675 Earl Dr., Marietta, GA 30062
CosteaM
I read somewhere that Mr. Hamma may retire soon. I had my Yashica D CLA-d recently by Dean Williams and he did a fantastic job. Very affordable too. See my post in the "classic camera" forum.
donnie_strickland
I too have heard these rumors about Mark Hama. In March of this year I got back a camera I had sent for service in March 2005(!). No explanation about what took him so long to get to it.

joseph_wei
I also would like to vouch for Dean Williams - he's done excellent CLAs on my Yashica D and Mamiyaflex TLRs; fast service and competitive prices too.
ahmer_inam
I actually called Mark Hamma on the phone number listed on his website and personally talked to him. The Yashica MAT-124 G I bought on eBay had its shutters sticking at slower speeds and the meter was under by 3-4 stops. He said for $140 he'd fix all that and anything else that may be wrong with the camera. He also gives 6 month warranty for his work. I ended up returning the camera to the seller because the cost to fix was too high.
