dan_cioroianu
I'm now in the market for a camera bag and am looking at Tamrac 5768 Velocity 8x. I'd like to be able to fit the 30D with Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-300mm already mounted in the bag. Which sling bag/camera bag do you recommend? Ironically, I'm planning on selling my Velocity 9, because I'll be buying a second body soon.
chuck_c_charlottenc_
Dan, I bought the Tamrac 5768 Velocity 8x and I think it's a wonderful bag and the sling feature is very easy to use. I own a Canon 20D and also have the Canon 70-300mm IS lens attached and it easily fits in the bag. I also carry in the bag, occasionally, 4 to 5 other lenses (50mm f/1.8, 85mm f/1.8, 17-40mm L, 28-135mm, and a 135mm f/2.0L) and the Canon 420EX flash. With all these lenses the bag becomes a bit heavy if you intend to carry it all day. But, it does have adequate room. It also has room for other odds and ends. I think you'll be pleased with the bag... I am. //Chuck
carnagex_carnagex
I have the Velocity 7 for when I go climbing or caving. Its nice that you can swing the bag forward very easy (helpful for tight situations), also with the "hidden" straps it makes it nice when climbing, by helping keep the bag from swinging forward on me. Its perfect for my needs. I can fill it pretty good. I bought two add on M.A.S. Large lens bags for extra storage, and two elastic clip ties for a monopod. (from the pic you can see what I can pack, a 85 f/ 1.2 on a 5D, a 17-40 f/4, a 24-70 f/2.8, a 220EX, and a Manfrotto Monopod. And I store extra cards and batteries in the front pocket.)

mars c
I also recommend the lowepro slingshot series.hyperlink
yakim_peled1
I can think of several which can fit but I will not state names. To me, bags and tripods belong to a category of their own in a sense that they require very personal fitting and what's good for me may well not be good for you, even if we have the same equipment. Thus I will - personally - never recommend a specific model. For example, I once saw on the web a bag that I really liked. However, when I got to the store and tried it out I found that it wasn't very comfortable. I tried another and - surprise - it was excellent. Thus I suggest you do the same. Go to the store and try them out yourself. Only this way will ensure you will get the one which fits YOU best. Suggesting a brand is a different thing and I (like many) find Lowepro and Tamrac bags to be excellent. Happy shooting, Yakim.
