larrydressler
I know ther is a Minox forum but those are the James Bond guys so I figure this little zone focus 35mm beauty belongs here. I fed her a roll of Sensia 200 I found in the freezer. this stuff was 4 years outdated but must have been frozen the whole time. Sharp lens on this beauty. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=733994 Larry<div></div>
patrick j dempsey
Beautiful shot Larry... all three of the river shots came out nice... just the right amount of underexposure to make it work! And yeah I def consider the plastic Minox 35's to be more of a toy camera than a James Bond camera!

jeffpolaski
Beg to differ, Patrick. I'll probably get rid of my 8x11 Minox equipment (Cold War vintage, and I mean that literally), but the Minox 35ML is an absolute gem. Great fast lens, cigarette pocket sized, and people just don't seem to notice it as a camera when I shoot on the street or in crowds. Larry, your riverside shot is lovely. And I bet that your arm didn't ache from the fatigue of carrying the camera there. A few years ago, folks from the office came running to my desk saying there's an eagle or something outside on a balcony. All I had was the Minox 35ML. I belly-crawled across the office and shot this through a plate glass window about 20 feet from the outside railing with the wide angle (35mm) lens. The crop is very, very tight from a flatbed scanner. (Maybe a 150mm or 200mm equivalent.) The point is, that's the camera I had with me. And an old Cold War guy like me is quite satisfied with bringing home the image. It was good enough for some birders to identify as a red-tailed hawk (without seeing the red color).<div></div>
larrydressler
Jeff I keep mine with me all the time and also an APS ELPH 260. I am about to put up some from the ELPH as soon as I am done here. I am also a Cold War guy I just now get to plaw with what the other side had. I also have a Kiev 35 that I need to try side beside the EL. jeffpolaski
I am using and slowly cleaning up a FED 1, just for the sheer glee of owning a camera named after Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky, Lenin's nastiest son-of-a-bitch. Using the Minox B 8x11, here's a 1970 shot of Special Agent Polaski's ride in northern italy. (It never really ran very well.)<div></div>
