135 mm f 4 tele- Elmar code

Any idea of the 6 bit code for this lens to use it with the M8 ?

The only 135 code that has been published is the one for the 135/2.8 as Leica believes the 135 without goggles can't reliably be used on an M8. Not sure we all agree, but that doesn't really matter.... See Carsten Whimster's page http://www.digital-leica.com/lens_codes/

Just one thing...coding is not as necessary with telephoto lenses as it is with wide angles. You

don't need any cyan fringing correction and there is much less vignetting wide open, so the

importance of the coding is diminished. You don't really need the coding in order to use the

IR filter with 50mm and longer.
