michael_walter1
This may be the wrong area for this, forgive me if it is. I currently have a Rebel Ti and a Rebel G (for my truck). I suspect that I will be going to a Rebel XT before year end. Why? 1. Spending too much on film 2. Need instant feedback (impatient) 3. Can't afford a better EOS digital 4. All my lenses are EF My wife has a small P&S digital camera. It takes nice pictures but lacks much flexibility. However, it does have a histogram option on the menu. I have looked at it. It may have well as been in Kanji. I see references to histograms on this forum ("Check you histogram", "Luke, trust the hsitogram"...) It is evident that I need some education. Can anyone suggest some on-line reading, such as "Histograms for Dummies"?
wandern
Try googling for "histograms for dummies" and take the first result. It appears to be a reasonable page that accurately describes what you'll be seeing on your Rebel XT (it shows a luminance histogram, which is the only option you have on that camera). milton-chris
Depends where you live - if in Ontario and served by a Henry's camera store, one of their courses apparently deals a lot with interpreting histogram data.
