tonybeach
This is a topic for the Digital Darkroom Forum. Anyway, you hit Ctrl+R for a PC (it may be Command+R on a Mac) and that brings up the ruler. There is a target circle in the center of the crop which you can place your cursor over and that will show up on the ruler. To facilitate workflow you can create an action and it will repeat the process with a single keystroke.
Ed_Ingold
Under the "Layer" menu, you have "Arrange", "Align" and "Distribute" functions. Each object will have to be in a separate layer, which is the default when you import or paste something.
mark soares
I believe if you hold down the shift key while moving the layer that contains the image it will snap to the center as you get closer to it.
stevea
In CS2, when you Print with preview the screen comes up with your picture centered on the print page. Therefore, if you crop the picture to the size of the canvas and print on 8 x 10 paper, you'll have a centered print. Steve Abramson
