icephoto
I've had my 10D now for about 2 1/2 years and about 6100 exposures and it has been a faithful performer. I'm noticing no issues with exposure and just the normal dust issues that can be done with a quick swipe with the Visible Dust brushes. When (if ever) does it make sense to let Canon get their hands on my baby for regular maintenance?
brucecyr
If you're not a pro then I doubt you need to worry about regular maintenance. I've got 30K+ snaps on my 350D in 19 months -- surely your pricier 10D is good for more than that?
dogbert
These things are mostly electronics and designed to be used until they break. Then you get them repaired at the time if you deem it economic to do so. AFAIK there is no prevntative maintenance schedule for Canon consumer cameras, and probably not on the pro bodies either. bobatkins
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There's nothing to maintain. Shoot till it breaks, then get it repaired.
mark u
The only "maintenance" that would be needed absent something obvious failing might be to have the body and your lenses calibrated for AF, but it doesn't sound as though you have any issues to worry about, otherwise you'd be posting about them.
