M8 street shots in London

Recommended Posts

I've only had my M8 for a few days so I'm still getting to grips with it. These were shot over the last

couple of days. Overall I'm pleased with the camera. With the right kind of post-processing it still looks

like Tri-X.

#1 was shot at ISO 1250 since it was handheld at night. All the others at 160 through

640. Don't take any notice of the grain; that's part of the post-processing and is absent in

the DNG files - it's barely visible even in the 1250 DNG file. Strangely, I go to a lot of

trouble to add grain back in since I've got a large back catalog of tri-x work, and want the

M8 stuff to have the same feel. Post-processing is done from the DNG file, which I prefer

over what the camera produces in b+w jpg.

No one else got any M8 street work? Doesn't have to be from London - any city will

do...
