Does anyone know the serial nos of the Black Paint Leicaflex Standards.

Any idea about the cost of one in reasonably good condition ?

There is no definitive information on black paint serial numbers

for the Leicaflex (1) camera. The best I can do is quote J. Lager

who says that the black paint finish usually occurs in two distinct

groupings. The first with a pie shaped frame counter and in the

1084001 area. The second with the round shaped frame counter

and in the 1168001. Pie shape counter cameras are much rarer.

Value is difficult to assess and depends mostly on condition.

Remember there is just not the same demand for reflex

cameras as there is for the rangefinders. If it is in mint condition

with all boxes and papers then you would create some

excitment.

A while back there was one on ebay . The seller was asking

about $1200 , but no one bid .
